2009 Class Structure and Club Rules

Club Rules
  1. We follow Burris National Speedway Rules in addition to those listed below. Where club rules and Burris rules conflict, club rules...rule. For more information, see the Burris Rules link.
  2. Pea pick closes when the driver's meeting starts. All drivers must pea pick or they will start both heat races at the back.
  3. If you start a race on a green flag under your own power, but do not finish, you will receive last place points for the race. If more than one driver does not finish, points will be given to non-finishers in the order that they dnf.
  4. Absolutely NO ALCOHOL is allowed in the pits until after ALL races have finished. If someone is in the pit drinking during the race day, the driver(s) will be disqualified from all races that day and asked to leave the track. We do not give refunds.
  5. Every person in the pits is required to have a pit pass. Each driver is required to have a "dot" for pea pick. This rule is strictly enforced.
  6. Racing and practices take place in the order noted on the grid board. Many drivers race more than one class and we make every effort to arrange racing order so nobody races back to back. This cannot always be managed due to the large number of classes.
  7. Tire prep is allowed at the track.
  8. If your driver is a minor we require a birth certificate to be on file. Additionally, minor drivers must have their parents or guardian sign them in.
  9. If you spin out or cause another driver to spin, you will restart at the back. If it happens 3 times in the same race, you will be black flagged.
  10. If you knock over 3 or more cones during a race, you will be put in the back. If you do it 3 times in the same race, you will be black flagged.
  11. Only members receive racing points. Become a member by the third race (May 22, 2010 race) to have your points count. If you become a member after the May race, your points only count from the membership date forward.
  12. Track restarts are only allowed as follows: For drivers in classes Junior II and above, restarts are only allowed if the green flag has not been thrown to start or the entire track restarts after a red flag. For drivers in Junior I and below, we allow two restarts at any time. At the third restart, the kart must move to the infield and cannot be restarted.
  13. A yellow flag is ALWAYS a FULL COURSE YELLOW no matter where it is thrown. Drivers must immediately slow their karts and follow procedure for racing and restarting under a yellow flag.
  14.  Membership Fees/Rules

A family membership will consist of a maximum of two drivers and cost $75. Each family membership will receive 10 $5 discount coupons to be used for driver's passes or pit passes throughout the year. One coupon per membership per race. Only two plaques will be awarded for a family membership. Members can purchase additional plaques at the club's cost.

An individual membership consists of one driver with up to two karts and will cost $45. Each individual membership will receive 5 $5 coupons to be used or driver's passes or pit passes throughout the year. One coupon per membership per race. Only one plaque will be awarded for individual membership. Members can purchase additional plaques at the club's cost.

For drivers racing more than one class, you will be charged $40 driver/pit fee for the first race and $25 each class thereafter. This is per driver. For families with more than one driver racing multiple classes on their membership, each driver pays the first $40 for their respective classes, then each one pays $25 for each addition
    al class.
  15. Your engine/weight/age must fit the class requirements/structure. If you do not, you will not get points for racing, unless the board and the class members agree to waive this rule. (Waiving the rule is done on a per driver evaluation basis only.)
New Class
We have added a Beginner/Junior class (ages 5 - 8) to the Briggs classes. For details, see the class structure page here.
