Classes and Weights:
We have averaged all karts from the first race to come up with
these suggested weights. Due to the size of our club/classes, these weights are
in the best interest of our members.
Suggested weights are based on the class average. Official weights are based on the membership vote.
Beginner Wing (Red Plate .500) -- 160 WITHOUT DRIVER
Beginner Flat (.500 restrictor or governor) -- 250
Jr II Wing (Gold Plate .575) -- 300
Jr II Flat -- 275
Jr III Animal -- 270
Jr F200 -- 350
Sr F200 -- 370
Modified Animal -- 360
Sr KT100 -- 350
Jr KT100/Stock World Formula -- 360
Open -- 385
Wing 250 -- 370
Wing 500 -- 440
Safety Requirements:- ALL karts must pass Safety Tech Inspection by 3rd race, May 28th.
See Bryan Yahnian at his pit to complete the inspection. Karts without
the TCKC inspection sticker will not be allowed on the track at the June
11th race. If you don't make the 5/28 race, you can tech at the next race you participate in.
- The Safety Tech form can be found here.
- The following items are now REQUIRED to race: Abrasive resistant
jacket (NO more long sleeve shirts or sweatshirts), long pants, closed
shoes, gloves and neck braces. Hair must be tucked into helmet or
jacket.
- Also required by the 3rd race, May 28th are full face helmets. NO more dirt bike helmets with open faces and goggles.
- ALL karts are now required to be weighed, members or not &
including kids. Any & all weights MUST have the kart number on them.
Communication:
- TCKC rules do NOT allow two way radio communication between driver & crew.
Fuel:
Beginners, Juniors, F200, and Stock World Formula classes are not
allowed to use Nitromethane (CH3NO4) as fuel or additive and at this
time Oxygen additives will also not be allowed due to the present
methods we have for testing fuel. We are still waiting for the KT100
class rules.
At this time, the only class that Nitromethane or Oxygen additives are allowed is in the Open class.
Briggs & Stratton World Formula Engine Rules:
- All parts must be B&S factory production parts
- Factory Header: or RLV part number 5442S and RLV Silencer #4108
- Air filter: must be Green Brand 40 X 75 filter
- Clutch: May be engine and/or Jackshaft mounted. May use #219 or #35 sprocket
- Rev Limiter: Rev Limit is 7100 rpm +/- 50 rpm a red PVL is 7100
- Ignition: Unaltered B&S stock coil #557040 w/External Limiter or #557125 with Internal RPM Limiter
- Fuel: to be pump gasoline
- Carburetor: Stock Wallbro PZ carburetor only
- Full Rear Bumper: for safety purposes
Tulare County Kart Club will be using Red Bluff Outlaws rules for the outlaw wing karts & Burris rules for the flat karts for safety rules only until further notice. We reserve the right the change the rules at the club's discretion.
